Portable high definition stereo audio recorder for live application

REC-PRO is a portable high definition stereo audio recorder for live application. Thus means that this device can record upto 192kHz/24-bit resolution to Compact Flash media and its audio files are instantly available to DAWs through the built-in high-speed FireWire computer connection. Another of its special high-end feature is the SMPTE time code input for synchronization to external devices while in record or playback. The recordings are made in stereo from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, at 16- or 24-bit, to affordable Compact Flash media. The recorded audio is then written directly as Broadcast WAVE files for immediate use in digital audio workstations.

In this innovative recorder, technological design and real uncommon performance has been combined to allow maximum professional productivity.

There is a Retake button, which enables the user to delete the last recording and re-record with a single button press. As the recording process is on, the file headers are continually re-saved to protect recordings against accidental data loss. Files can be named from the front panel interface or using a PS/2 keyboard, which can also be used to control transport and set-up features.

As for input, the unit has a pair of XLR mic inputs with phantom power and analog peak limiting to prevent distortion. A built-in microphone has been provided for use during interviews and educational use. Being portable, it can carried everywhere with the help a shoulder belt that helps in external recordings like cinematographic recordings and live events.

REC-PRO can work for nearly 5.5 hours on AA alkaline batteries, and weighs less than two pounds with batteries installed. Recordings can be instantly transferred to a PC through the FireWire jack.
